Holy Brook Curriculum
The HBS curriculum is presented in the form of individual subject programmes of study (POS). Each POS commences at pre-key stage standard 1 and progresses to year 6; covering the learning outcomes HBS considers essential. Teachers and Team Leaders will identify the standard or year group they consider best fits a pupil’s academic attainment when they start at HBS in each of the subject POS. The teacher will then plan learning opportunities to cover the outcomes at that stage until the teacher considers the pupil’s learning secure. Once a pupil’s knowledge, understanding and skills are secure at that stage then outcomes from the next stage can be set as targets.
Your child's Teacher will be more than happy to talk to you about the curriculum that we use at Holy Brook Special School & care share your child's Individual Education Plan (IEP) with you.
